They are just trying to justify spending thousands of dollars on an education that these days, is pretty much not needed of you are advertising on Cherry Point Yard Sales. LOL.

*Trishie* --- 182 days ago -

I havent read thru all of these just the first one. I am a self taught photographer. Im not as good as most and i dont consider me to be the best. I posted on CPYS and noticed that its like its a game with other photographers. Someone post something then the others gotta post something better. like the TKL person. Photography is not a job its a passion. And most people post their photos like its a job. Anyone get what im saying. Its not wording right in my head esp with a fussy baby in the background

OhIoLaDy --- 182 days ago -

Someone post something then the others gotta post something better. like the TKL person. Lol i just went and looked and saw how she suddenly "lowered" her prices.

*Trishie* --- 182 days ago -

Lol i just went and looked and saw how she suddenly "lowered" her prices. Not just lowered. But refer a friend and get $10?? And make sure they are Licensed? Um im sure most of us self taught photographer are not licensed. Just do it because its our passion.

~~J~~ --- 182 days ago -

I emailed this to them: "I wanted to contact you only to let you know that your ad on CPYS was in very poor taste. Considering the site that you are advertising on, the following excerpt was not a good idea. "You wouldn't trust your heart in the hands of a "self taught" surgeon, why trust your memories to a "self taught" picture taker?" Because of this simple sentence, I would never consider hiring you, nor would I ever recommend you to anyone. I have seen many works from some of what you call "self taught picture takers," and I have always been impressed. When I checked out your work, I didn't find it to be any better. If I were you, I would consider retracting that statement and issuing an apology." I don't see any of the photographers on here doggin' eachother. It seems to me that you all support one another. I've always been impressed with ya'alls work and think that a lot of them are way better than ones that I've paid bookoo bucks for in the past. I'd rather support someone because they have a pasison for photography rahter than someone just out to make the most moola.

I think Cindy's photo's are AH-MAZING. I've seen nothing better. Although, admittedly, Betzy and Laura take awesome pictures, too. I've never seen Rach Lea so I have no idea about her. Just saying, self taught is better (IMO) because the photographer connects with the people as PEOPLE and not "business" and "technicality"

Wow! What a wench! From her posting about fostering dogs... I would not suggest fostering a pet unless you do not have any other dogs. Animals can have so many hidden diseases or illnesses. Those can be passed to your dog. Un - real. Her story lead me to believe she let that puppy with parvo die... =(

*Trishie* --- 182 days ago -

I emailed this to them: Spitting Image or TKL...

countrygrl --- 182 days ago -

I kinda see where she is coming from about the fostering. She was harse about it and rude. I would be heartbroken to foster a dog and one of my own get something. BUT I also make sure my pets are utd on shots and other health care, so I wouldn't worry. Obviously she doesn't keep her own pets healthy.

I emailed this to them: Spitting Image or TKL... Spitting Image

*Trishie* --- 182 days ago -

Spitting Image Oh ok. I was about to say. Messaging TKL will only get you rude emails back from not only her but her husband also.

Jacky --- 182 days ago -

Obviously she doesn't keep her own pets healthy. exactly.

OhIoLaDy --- 182 days ago -

rude emails back from not only her but her husband also. thats funny...my husband doesn't get involved in drama....but he's gotta tell me all about his marines' drama lol

~~J~~ --- 182 days ago -

Making my MARK♥ --- 182 days ago -

Yeah I seen about the dog ad but isnt there a limit to pets on base or is she saying she only has the 2 dogs she fostered with parvo?

*Trishie* --- 182 days ago -

There is a limit on base but i don't know what it is. To me its her own fault she should of been more cautious or asked more questions when she got the pups

Making my MARK♥ --- 182 days ago -

AGREED^^

~~J~~ --- 182 days ago -

To me its her own fault she should of been more cautious or asked more questions when she got the pups And that's so say the least! It's a rescue for crying out loud! Can I get a "hello?" If the dogs are being rescued, there is a reason. Not all the animals are A+ healthy. Resuces do tell their fostering volunteers that they may incure vet bills and that the people should be in a position to afford that. Wow! The common sense factor in that one was completely lost in the wind. Just a random thought, but is fostering even allowed on base? Don't all animals have to be registered with base? They did years ago when we live on base.

*Trishie* --- 182 days ago -

Don't all animals have to be registered with base? yup yup yup and yup. Every pet has to be registered. Even thou people do get away with not registering their pets.

*Nikki~Leigh* --- 182 days ago -

I have known of people having WAY more than the allowed amount of pets in base housing... but most rescues do an application process. If you go about it the right way you shouldn't be allowed to foster animals while you live in base housing because the rescue should be reviewing your lease agreement, find out how many pets you have at home and how many you are allowed. They should should also be checking your vet references. If a rescue does not do all this then don't foster from them! Or do and just accept that they are probably not the best option for your family. Especially if your own animals are not already vaccinated properly. You should also know that even with vaccines they are not a 100% guarantee that your animals are safe so you should have any new animal brought into your home vetted BEFORE introducing them to your other animals and using shared common areas. I have had ALL of my vaccinations but I do not have the immunities to Varicella and Rubella even though I am fully vaccinated.. Same thing can happen with animals. If you don't know the proper steps to take to protect your animals from new animals do not bring them into your home.. Just saying

I don't know why I'm just now finding this post but I HAVE to agree with the girls who say: I wouldn't put Rach Lea in the same sentence with Cindy and Laura... Just sayin' She is a horrible excuse for a business person. At one point a while back I was in contact with someone that Rach Lea claimed to have been in business with at one point and found out that Rachael stole photos from another photographer and sent them to me when I was shopping around for my wedding photographer and claiming it to be her own work. She lied and said her 'former business partner' from her hometown wouldn't let her use the work they did together in her portfolio and then she claimed that same person ended up going out of business once Rachael moved from there to NC...but it turns out that person never was in business with her officially and her own business is now booming. Rachael is coniving and petty and a blatant liar and will never run a trustworthy business. She probably pockets every penny she makes instead of owning and operating a legit business. I know for a fact that she did wedding photos for someone a couple years ago who to this day never received them. The girl is gonna get sued one day if she's not careful.
